Knee repair all good!

My dodgy knee seems to be recovering well and hopefully I will be up in the air VERY soon!

Quick knee reconstruction then back up!!

After numerous flights my knee started playing up from an injury over ten years ago.I’ve had my MRI and seen the Doc and after a quick knee reconstruction at the end of May I should soon recover and be able to take to the sky’s again. In the meantime I will be finishing my book on the Southern Highlands and hopefully get some shooting in to add to the ‘Dee Kramer collection’ of landscape images.

Paramotor license now complete!!!

Dee's new paramotor setup !!!!After a great week of flying around the Torquay - Great Ocean Rd landscape,  I now have now completed my paramotor license. It’s got to be the most amazing aircraft ever made, having piloted and flown many different aircraft the paramotor is definitely the most exhilarating form of flight.. now I just have to convince the wife to learn too !!!!

Ready 2 Fly again

After a last minutes decision yesterday it was decided to fly down to Torquay today to get some more flying time. This weeks weather is looking favourable so hopefully some air time awaits. Should have some new images up soon.

Waiting

It’s been a while now (too long) since my feet have left the comfort of planet earth and I’m getty very itchy to get up in the sky again. At this stage it looks like I will be back down in torquay the next few days to strap a motor on my back and get up again. Weather unfortunatly has the final say and we shall wait and see what happens. In three weeks we are set to do our first big mission, Shaa will be the ground crew and some fellow paramotor pilots (including Rob Lithgow my instructor) and myself will be flying from Adelaide to Melbourne raising money for malaria!

New paraglider today !!

After bad winds on Thursday, Friday was much better. Started off with a two hour solo flight over the beach along the cliffs (Totally breathtaking). Following lunch I tested a new wing which I was happy with so I decided to make it my first paraglider wing. Some more flights with it and landings along the amazing beach (followed by long walks back up the hill) finished off the days flying. Starting to feel a lot more confident and really seeing the possibilities this flying  photographic platform will bring.

Solo

Great winds and great weather meant today was the day to jump off a cliff by myself and fly like an eagle. Bit scary at first, but once you are up soaring the cliffs all you can think is, ‘WOW look at these awesome views’ until you realise you have to come down again. At a very substantial height above the water it was a very long way down, but I managed to do a very smooth first landing along the beach (I’m sure not all will be that smooth!). Stoked to have done my first SOLO today and now keen to get more experience and hours up so that soon I will be able to strap a motor on my back and fly anywhere!!!

First flight

First day of flying, totally amazed at the amazing coastline off Bells Beach Victoria, didn’t have my camera but took a few quick snaps on my iPhone (not the best quality). Hopefully the wind will be good to us the next few days and I will be able to post some new images.
